Cosmetic Surgery

cosmetic surgery uk

Welcome to the A to Z of cosmetic surgery, whether you are looking for cosmetic surgery in the US or cosmetic surgery UK.
The aim of this site is to try and provide you with enough information about plastic surgery, before you actually go and see your chosen surgeon, so as to give you some idea of what to say and what to expect on your first consultation.

I remember when my wife had her nose job, I went with her to see the surgeon which was a bit intimidating at first, mainly because I though she had a nice nose and what a waste of money, but she was determined to get rid of the bump she had been looking at in the mirror for the whole of her life.
We live in the UK and found a very good surgeon just outside Exeter in Devon. After meeting him, having a chat for about an hour, and £120 cost, we both felt a lot more confident about what was going to happen and what her new nose would look like.

He had a full colour catalog of previous procedures, with some quite amazing transformations. The surgeon went through a very precise list of questions to find out exactly what type of nose my wife wanted, making sure to show, via diagrams, that the lump in her nose would be removed and not replaced with a “ski slope” type smooth nose, but a totally natural looking one.
After explaining what cosmetic surgery involves, when she goes under anesthetic, what cuts and breaks would be done and how long it would take and what she was going to feel like when she woke up, this definitely answered lots of questions that were bouncing around in our minds.

When I went to see her after the operation, she did look as though she had just flown through the windscreen of a car, with plenty of bruising and bandage strapped around her face. But she felt great, because at last, after living with a nose that she hated, it would soon be time to uncover her new nose and new lovely face.

After about a week  we went back to the clinic to have the bandage removed and she was over the moon with the result. I was also amazed at the natural look of her new nose. The bruising was still very bad and probably lasted for about 6 to 7 weeks before they had gone completely, which was a bit embarrassing when we went out together, because I thought everybody was thinking I was a wife beater when they saw her two black eyes.

Anyways, she is now very happy, she paid about £3500 for the plastic surgery, which is not a lot when you think about the happiness achieved everytime she looks in the mirror. The surgeon quoted about 200 grand to put my face right and make me happy everytime I look in the mirror, hey, but that’s another story.
We will be adding more information about cosmetic surgery UK and the US, so please take a look around the site and keep checking back for updates.
